Teachers Beautify Village for Foster Kids in BC

Vancouver B.C. April 14, 2011 – More than 70 teachers, principals and staff from Core Education and Fine Arts™, Vancouver’s junior kindergarten school franchise, will lend their painting, gardening, landscaping and renovation skills next week to help improve BC’s SOS Children’s Village.

 "The Village provides a sense of community, connection and belonging for

kids who for whatever reason aren't able to live with their biological

parents," explained Liz Harris, Manager, Corporate/Community Relations &

Special Events. "Because of their unique experiences and vulnerabilities,

it's very important for us to create an environment in which every child

belongs... every child matters."

 “We share a common goal and belief system with SOS Children’s Village,” said Natacha Beim, founder and CEO of cefa™. “And that is: every child matters and deserves to realize their full potential.”

The project coined, Make It Better! will take place from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm on Saturday April 16, 2011.

We are thrilled to announce our first annual cefa™ - Make It Better! Project, scheduled for April 16, 2011!

Core Education & Fine Arts™ is committed to having a positive impact in our local communities, and wants to make a difference by contributing collectively to one cause. The cefa™ - Make It Better! Project is a corporate sponsored volunteer event open to all cefa™ employees and school Presidents. Volunteer employees will spend a day working alongside their co-workers from all school locations on one project: sharing skills, demonstrating commitment to a cause, and making an impact in a specific area of need.  Staff members who would like to volunteer, in any capacity – large or small - either leading up to or during the event, please contact us at: makeitbetter@cefa.ca - we welcome your help!!
